The day that Al Gore and T.Boone Pickens decide to hold a press conference and tell America that “saving the earth is so important, if all Americans, support their ideas, all profits from their green energy companies, will be donated to the needy” is the day I will begin to believe in global warming. Until then, both men are simply greedy, capitalists, exploiting for profit, the hysterical rantings of a small segment of the American population, often referred to as “wacko environmentalists.” Both men will more than likely profit much more than any investor could ever hope, it is the very principal that made the United States, the greatest country in the world. Capitalism is the principal, it is the engine that has driven our economy for over 100 years, and that engine drinks oil. There is not one product, service, consumer good that doesn’t require oil in some way or another.
Americans must understand, even if the U.S. stopped using oil tomorrow, it would have no effect on the environment, zip, nada, none at all. China, Russia, and the rest of the world, would consume that much more oil, and pay much less for it. The fact is America must have oil, we need oil to do the research, to make the discoveries and develop the technology needed, for energy efficient products, zero-emission autos and everything else. Manufacturing and erecting the wind turbines and solar cells for Al Gore and T. Boone Pickens, will require oil, our world will always need oil. In order to reduce, our countries dependence on oil, will require oil and the U.S. must drill for oil. to achieve energy independence.
For most people including myself, energy independence means, our country not having to purchase any foreign oil or energy. For the past 20 or 30 years every politician, every year, has promised the citizens energy independence and to that end, they have passed so called, energy bills. But, our country is no closer today, to being energy independent, than we were 30 years ago. So just what have our politicians been doing all these years? We can only wonder. To become energy independent, we must revitalize the oil industry here at home, there is no reason for us not to, after Hurricane Katrina environmental concerns are not an issue. There is not another country on this planet that can drill in a more environmentally friendly manner, and in the end leave a smaller footprint. Everyone knows the saying “Buy American” keep jobs here at home, that should include buying American oil.
The disposable income, and savings accounts of middle class America is rapidly shrinking, prospects of high heating bills this winter, continuing high price of gas at the pump, higher prices on food, will make for a very bleak retail season this Christmas. It will take 4 to 6 years, perhaps longer, for the salaries and wages of Americans to catch up with the 20 to 40% increase in the cost of living caused by the price of oil. The disposable income and savings of families can never be regained, the consequences to many will be tragic. When the new zero-emission autos, and other energy saving devices come to market, middle class America will not be able to financially afford the new technology.
On the other hand if the U.S. would allow a D-Day style attack, to drill for oil and build new refineries, creating thousands of new jobs, that would bring down the price of oil and gasoline. Believe no one, that says it won’t! Trust in market economics. The U.S. must have a strong economy so Americans will be financially able to embrace new technology as is comes to market. Sending 700 billion dollars overseas for years to come, personally makes me nauseated. Our economy needs that 700 billion dollars, American families need that money. The fact that our elected officials in Washington, would rather send that money, out of our economy, out of the pockets of American workers, should outrage every voter. It is borderline treason, on the part of politicians to allow this to happen, each and every incumbent politician have breeched their fiduciary duty to the citizens of this country and should be held responsible. The voters can do just that in this November’s election, if they are informed.
So just how far can the politicians push Americans before we become fighting mad as hell? Nancy Pelosi and her fellow democrat slackers took their annual five week vacation, they filled the tanks in their taxpayer provided SUV’s, with their taxpayer provided gasoline debit card. Turned off the lights in “Pelosi Palace”, and went home, to tell their constituents what a good job they have done and how evil the republicans are. Every single taxpayer in America should be livid. Is there anyone that believes, the politicians are doing the work of the people? Personally I don’t get it, when our favorite sports team wins a big game, we riot, if that same team lost, we would riot. Gasoline, is at $4.00 a gallon, our nations economy is in the toilet, politicians go on a 5 week vacation, instead of passing necessary energy legislation, where are the riots? Congress could probably come back from vacation, vote themselves pay raises, more than likely get away with it! If not, the voter uproar would act as a good smoke screen, and take attention away from the price of gas, long enough to get themselves re-elected in November.
Unless the American voter goes to the polls this November and take action by sending every incumbent politician home on a permanent vacation. Americans must send a message, loud and clear to the elected politicians in Washington, pass legislation that is good for the U. S. and the citizens of this country. The United States must capitalize on the natural resources that God blessed our country with, for the good of the people.

The Real Cost Of Oil to American Families
THE REAL COST OF OIL TO AMERICAN FAMILIES
Everyone knows the number one thing that the average American families (couples) argue about is money. Every month after paying the bills families attempt to save a little money for Christmas, a vacation, perhaps a new car, children’s college , retirement. to name just a few. What happens when that money, a families disposable income, perhaps $400, $600 or more a month, is no longer available, because it must be spent on ever increasing food and energy bills? Lower, middle, and upper middle class families in America are getting hammered because of the price of oil. The full impact and the consequences this is having on the American family, won’t be recognized or fully understood for some time to come. My wife and I raised two children, I know something about this.
This year a significant number of new studies and findings have been released that pretty much debunks this whole global warming myth. Go to the “Science and Public Policy Institute” web page, the evidence is very clear , global warming truly is a hoax. Remember learning in school about the Ice Age? The world was a floating ball of ice in the universe before “global warming made life possible“, it will not destroy civilization anytime soon. Our country as usual, is leading the world in the research for alternative energy, and that should not stop. It would make no difference if the U.S. were totally green tomorrow, the rest of the world, would still be using oil and will be for some time to come. When you hear “global warming” just think “new and higher taxes”. We cannot bankrupt our country and millions of families so Al Gore can have a net worth of 500 million dollars in ten years, from his “green investment fund”? Perhaps a few politicians that refuse to vote on and approve drilling here at home, are invested in Al’s “green fund“, that would certainly explain a lot, something to think about. More on the cause and effects of oil prices later, first, how we save our country, just a few ideas.
The President must declare a “National Emergency“. The “financial well being” of the country and the “American taxpayer” are at risk!!! The “Goal”: To bring the price of gasoline down to $2.00 a gallon, or less.
To accomplish this goal, the oil companies must be allowed to say where to drill and how much is needed. The plan must be aggressive and we must use every natural resource that we have. Anything less, will result in failure, drilling just a little will not, solve this problem. Sending $700 hundred billion dollars (what ever the number is)out of our economy this year is unacceptable. Do not believe anyone that says drilling won’t reduce the price of oil, ‘IT WILL’. Voters must force Washington to approve a drilling plan before the elections.
The oil companies have 30 days to produce a plan: Allow Washington 30 days to approve it.
1. Detailing a list of the areas where they believe it would be easiest to drill for oil including Anwar and any off shore tracts. States would not have any say on this.
2. Auction those areas off to the oil companies
3. Eliminate or suspend all previous legislation that puts any limits on drilling or pumping oil from older wells.
4. Suspend all EPA, and protected species laws, or any law that might get in the way of finding oil.
5. Develope operational and environmental standards with highly punitive fines for negligence, involving oil spills or unnecessary environmental damage.
6. Eliminate the permit process for building new refineries, pipelines etc. (new refineries must be built)
7. Anyone wishing to challenge any part of this in court, goes to jail for one year.
8. The government must do anything within reason to assist oil companies get oil to market.
9. Provide incentives for oil production in less than 5 years.
Our politicians must approve an aggressive drilling plan including an objective or goal before the November elections. If they don’t every “INCUMBENT POLITICIAN MUST BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE”. No excuses will be accepted. Repeat these words to everyone you meet from now until the elections in November.
The oil companies, must be allowed to set the bar on where and how much drilling, is required to reach our goal of $2.00 (or less) a gallon for gasoline “NOT” congress. This is extremely important, if not the most important part of any, drilling plan. Washington must set a “GOAL”, an objective. If the two dollar a gallon benchmark is not reached, then congress can blame the oil companies, and confiscate the profits like they have been calling for, for so long. Do not listen to any proponents for drilling, unless they state an objective or goal, and time frame, it is only a smoke screen, a cover for the politicians. Do not believe politicians that say we can’t get this done, before the elections, do not accept any excuses, they will be lying, to get reelected.
Have you ever considered how mad as hell , absolutely enraged the colonists must have been when they decided to organize the Boston Tea Party? The secret meetings, disguised as Indians, and then that night dumping tons of tea into Boston Harbor. That night was the start of the American Revolution.
Welcome to the Presidential election 2008. We the citizens have a wonderful opportunity in this November’s election, but there is not much time. Talk to people at work, the bank, in line at the grocery store, your neighbors, and your family. Ask them what they think about the price of gas. Then tell them what you have read here. Direct them to this site. Convince everyone to “VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT OF OFFICE”.
Republicans and democrats, both parties are responsible for the price of oil. Our elected officials in Washington have access to the best information, research, market projections, on any industry or market in the world. Together, over the years, both parties have passed legislation that put the most promising oil fields off limits to drilling, and haven’t built a refinery in decades. The world demand for oil has been increasing for years, with all the charts and graphs and analysts in Washington, our politicians could not see a “potential” problem, with the price of oil!! The voters elect politicians to protect our families and country from crisis’s, they failed and we the voters must “vote incumbents” out of office.
Washington is upside down, politicians do what is best for their parties, lobbyists, special interests and of course themselves. The best interest of our country and the taxpayer has been absolutely forgotten. When something goes wrong in Washington whatever it might be, the politicians are always ready to blame someone else. They always blame each other or Wall Street. That is how they raise doubt and confusion in the voters, and it gets them reelected. Think about this, right now the democrats are obsessed and will do anything to win the White House, that means “not voting” on a aggressive drilling plan for oil. If the price of oil were to drop that would be great for Americans and reflect well on the president and the republicans. The democrats don’t care, it is more important for them to win the White House. They don’t care if Americans go bankrupt or loose their homes. American families, families with children, will be “collateral damage” in the democrats quest for the White House. We must take our government back!!
Oil is a building block, we use it for transportation, tractors need it to grow the food we eat, factories use things that are made from it, for the consumer goods that we need in our daily lives. Without oil, there would be no airplanes or automobiles, or tens of thousands of jobs, that Americans count on. The cost of gasoline has more than doubled, the cost of all consumer goods will go up, the high cost of oil will impact everything. As mentioned earlier the impact of higher prices will have consequences. A very simple example, two families, one family has $5000.00 dollars in savings the other $1000.00. Both families spend an extra $200.00 dollars a month on bills, due to the high price of oil, which family goes bankrupt first? A little at a time, a slow death, that’s what is happening to families across America. We need to drill for oil tomorrow, and the democrats want to win the White House in November. What do you think is more important?
During uncertain economic times, consumers will spend less and save more, the effect of that behavior is felt by companies across the country. Two weeks ago, 15 or 20 large companies across the country announced lay offs, and the closing of some stores, stores like Home Depot. Starbucks is closing 600 locations others businesses have filed for chapter 11 protection. This is just the beginning, the price of gasoline is not your only concern, grab your wallet, it is going to get worse.
Every city, county, state, and federal agency will be needing bigger operating budgets this year. due to the cost of oil. Just think about that for a moment, fire departments, road maintenance, parks, increase the budget for every level of government by 25 to 40%, maybe more. Every city will be raising the sales taxes, property taxes, state taxes will go up along with federal taxes. The next president, whom ever it might be, will raise our taxes on top of everything else, to pay for universal health care. The 15 or 20 million new citizens from Mexico, which the new President will see too, will want to be included in the new health care plan. The ‘VOTERS” must send a clear message to Washington this election.
Do I have your attention? I hope so. Talk to everyone you meet, every day, tell them to do the same. We must force our elected representatives to approve a drilling plan before the election. Read that out loud and raise your voice ”WE MUST FORCE OUR ELECTED RERESENTITIVES TO APPROVE A DRILLING PLAN BEFORE THE ELECTION”. If a drilling plan is not approved before the election “we the people” must vote them out of office. Read that again “WE MUST VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE’. Every senator, congressperson, and representitive up for reelection must be voted out of office. Every “INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT’ and “REPUBLICAN” alike must be ‘VOTED OUT OF OFFICE’. No exceptions!!!!
Every voter must “forget”, about being a republican or a democrat, it doesn’t matter what color your skin is, taxpayers must unite. Send e-mails, letters, call your politicians office and tell them ”they will be voted out of office” . It does not matter weather your politician is republican or democrat vote them out of office. It does not matter who they are. Both the democrats and republicans are equally responsible for the price of oil. Lets take away their taxpayer car and taxpayer provided gasoline card, they might wake up. I bet you would hear a lot of whinning and complaining from Washington, just ask Senator Gramm.
I am working on a web site for this however my resources and computer skills are limited, will do my best to keep everyone that is interested informed, at this blog. Looking forward to your comments and advice, I will try and reply if you leave your e-mail. Will be expanding my thoughts on several ideas from this piece which I will try and post regularly.
